Have you ever heard the saying, "He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth?"

Well...most people aren't as lucky as the sons and daughters of the rich and famous. In fact, if you made it here, chances are you weren't either. Unfortunately, most people are born with imitation, silver-plated spoons.

But in my case, I was born with a plastic picnic spoon in my mouth. ;-)

I was born and raised in a small northern-Michigan town, by parents who were barely out of their teens, and three other brothers. The most famous part of the town was the annual trout-festival, and the town boasted a large fountain in the middle of the town, shaped like a trout. For fun, my friends and I would take a large bottle of dish-soap, dump it in the trout, and run like crazy! The downtown street would be flooded with soap bubbles!

But I grew older and the trout became less fun. The funds for a proper college education was out of the question, and the only work around was construction. To support myself, I started hanging drywall in my late teens. It was ok at first, but after six years of working for low pay and coating the inside of my lungs with drywall dust, I became deeply depressed.

You know that Saturday Night Live skit with Chris Farley where he's...

"...Living in a Van by the River!"

Well, that was me at one point. I lived in a tiny camper in the middle of the woods, alone and broke. I started to believe there was no way out, and that I would end up hanging drywall for the rest of my life.

I felt as though I was standing on my tip-toes in a deep pool of water, trying to keep my head just high enough to breathe. Well, winter hit and I had to get out of the camper, so I rented a run-down house with six other guys.

And what do you know? Everything happens for a reason. Two of those guys helped change my life forever!

One of those roommates had a computer with an Internet connection. I began surfing the 'net day and night, convinced that the "Information Super Highway" would have all the answers I would need. I quickly fell into every single online money-making scheme that found it's way into my Inbox. And that was before Spam-blockers! I lost every scrap of money I could get my hands onto, for three years straight. But what I lost in money, I gained in experience.

I discovered what to avoid, who was reliable, and how to spot a scam from a mile away.

I also discovered one other thing: every successful, self-proclaimed Internet "Guru" out there had discovered one simple little secret, something no one would ever think could make you as successful as it does:

To become successful, you have to ACCEPT SUCCESS into your life!

Sounds cheesy, doesn't it? But it's true!

It seemed an odd thing to believe, because I had been trying so hard to become successful...but it made sense when I thought it through. Consciously, I wanted to attract success, I wanted to be happy, have all the things I wanted, and do better things with my life than live paycheck to paycheck and hang drywall forever. But subconsciously, my mind was repelling success- like a record stuck on repeat, it was perpetuating the life it had become accustomed to and believed was right.

You must make sure the same is not happening to you. If it is, then it's time to change that... and I'll reveal how. :-)

To change my life, I needed to find a way to hard-wire success into my brain, and become consciously and subconsciously convinced that success was the only option. The trouble was, none of the techniques I'd used had ever gone deep enough to make such a profound change.

I tried self-hypnosis, using friends as therapists, self-help books, basically anything I could get my hands on. But my body would just react with over-powering stress, anxiety, lethargy, and that *stuck* feeling that makes you feel like you just can't do anything.

Until one day I discovered the answer we have all been searching for our whole lives... and it transformed my life instantly!

You see, one of the other things I know for certain will help you to reach the heights of success like I have is a tool that I discovered many years ago by accident.

On October 29, 1941, U.K. Prime Minister Winston Churchill visited Harrow School to speak to the students. He stood before them and said,

-"Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, give up. Never give up. Never give up. Never give up."

Do you know how many people told me to give up?

All of them. My friends, my family, and my co-workers all told me to get my head out of the clouds.

They were convinced that the best I could do was be a dry-waller all my life.

Do you know how many times I gave up?

Once.

Remember earlier I told you two of my former roommates had changed my life forever? Well, as I explained earlier, the first had a computer, and the second... well, he had a dream.

After three years of trying and losing money, and having all of my friends and family tell me it would never work, I gave up. I told my best friend Josh that I had had enough.

The very next day Josh came to me just as I was about to leave for work. He looked confused, excited and a little jacked up on too much coffee. He said: "Justin, I had this crazy dream. Well, actually it wasn't a "dream". It was more like a vision. I was wide awake and driving into town earlier this morning, drinking my coffee as I usually do. Then, out of nowhere, I had this intense vision of you, a computer and... well... bat guano pouring out of the computer screen into your lap!"

"Sounds kind of gross." I said. "What the hell do you think it means?"

Josh replied; "Well, I'm sure it's metaphorical. Bat guano is used as extremely rich fertilizer. So, I would say it means that whatever you're doing on the computer is someday going to bring you the "fertilizer" (money) you need to become rich with all of your life's ventures. So, all I can say is, do not quit. Don't ever quit. Don't listen to all of these other people telling you that you're going to fail. Just keep on going and know with complete faith that you will be successful with this Internet "thing" you're working on."

Well, that's all I needed to hear. Just those words of faith from one good friend, as odd and gross as they were, gave me the will and desire to push on and continue my education with Internet marketing.

And it's a good thing too. Just look at where I am today! I'm more successful than I had ever imagined or intended to be at first. And it's only getting better!

The subconscious mind is a powerfully funny and insightful thing, isn't it?

The moral of this story is the same as Winston Churchill's speech. Have faith in yourself and don't ever give up!

So, now that you are mentally prepared, you need to be physically prepared. But that's the easy part! All you need now is:

• A Computer
• A clean working space
• A high-speed Internet connection (ideal, but if you don't have it now you can still begin with a dial-up connection and upgrade later)
• A quiet work area
• Determination and a good frame of mind

Get rid of any distractions, turn on the classical music, and prepare yourself to begin your new business.
